My Urine test results.. ? my age 21 male ? is red colour?
It is not normal for pus cells (WBCs) to be present in urine. This would indicate an infection. Red should not be visible either unless you have a lot of blood present. When there is a little blood in the urine it will show up on the test strip as small green dots on a yellow square or the yellow will turn completely green depending on the amount that is present. It will usually be sent for what is called C & S (culture and sensitivity) to see exactly what type of infection you have. There are many types of bacteria and it is important to know which one you are dealing with. With the pus present, you should have been given an antibiotic. If you weren't you should contact your doctor and ask why. FYI: after antibiotics are finished the urine should be rechecked to ure the infection is completely gone.
