I need some advice pls???

I am a very kind person who likes to help others when they need help or just someone to talk to. I would give the shirt off my back for anyone. But sometimes i think being nice hurts me in a way. what i mean by that is. I have some friends on myspace who sometimes have problems & i feel bad for them so i try & help them. Like just letting them know if they need someone to talk too then im here. Im not trying to be nosey when it comes to someones issues. I just really like being a good friend & it seems that when i try to help out . They are rude to me for no apparent reason. I don't get it. Why are they like this???? All i was trying to do is be nice But that doesnt work. ... What can i do???
